Known for their energetic displays and drawling glam muscle, the Violet May chug in a spaced world of their own and despite only having a mix of rehearsal and live sounds on their space they manage to tap into a dark energy of heavy riffage and translucent vocals.
Singer Chris McClure, brother of Reverend John and face of Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Whatever People Say I Am...That’s What I’m Not’ heads the band and recently told The Sheffield Telegraph: "People who have seen us have buzzed off us. Because we're class. We write with passion. We've got balls."
The band recently played Sheffield Tramlines festival on the Hallam FM main stage.
